Ballineddan Mountain

Looped walk | 4.76 km | Co. Wicklow | Hard walk

Trail Description

Ballineddan Mountain (Sliabh Bhaile an Fheadáin, Mountain of the village of the small stream) involves a fairly steep ascent partly on untracked heather and grass. Ballineddan lies on the edge of the Wicklow mountains and offers great views over of the inland plains, as well as a close up of Lugnaquillia. The broad, bare, grassy summit offers no shelter and in mist and rain it can be very bleak and cold. On a fine day though its a great walk.
