The Vale of Clara

Looped walk | 7.12 km | Co. Wicklow | Moderate walk

Trail Description

Clara must be the smallest village in Ireland with just a couple of houses, a bridge and a church. Cross the bridge and climb the hill to a forest entrance on the right where you park. Enter the forest and walk the track of birches, fine old oaks, tall pines and holly with the Avonmore river on your right. The whole area belongs to Coillte. This really is a lovely walk close to Glendalough.
