Derrybawn Mountain Glendalough

Looped walk | 5.21 km | Co. Wicklow | Moderate walk | Public Transport

Trail Description

For those that dont know Glendalough is a very popular area for visitors. Its monastic site and tranquil setting make it in my opinion one of the most beautiful places in Ireland. This is a walk of two halves. Good paths through woods to begin and steep little stracks at the end. This walk will take you through the monastic site, past both lakes and forestry then past Paulanass Waterfall and then up to the peak of Derrybawn 'mountain'. Not really a mountain by international standards but hey, thats what it says on the maps.
