Trail Description

Parking is possible for one car on a layby at the starting point of this track, but there is room for quite a few cars along the minor road, closer to the R572 (this would probably add about 20 minutes to the walk). Walk up the minor road until it ends, climb stile and follow the BĂ©ara Way posts uphill, climbing another stile en route. This leads you to the flattened top of Glanarough Hill (181m), which overlooks Firkeel Bay. Fine views over Dursey Island and the coastline on a clear day I guess, but by the time I got up there, the weather turned pretty bad and I had no views... The ascent along the road is a bit steep, but it gets easier a few meters after the first stile.
