Cliff Walk Howth

Looped walk | 6.29 km | Co. Dublin | Moderate walk | Public Transport

Trail Description

Start from East Pier in Howth. Short steep climb up Balscadden Road. Keep on road until you reach carpark. There, the trail becomes a a steep path and steps. At the top of the steps it follows the cliff around. It is fairly narrow in places, not for those suffering vertigo! The trail eventually leads to another car park, where you almost turn back on yourself and follow a wider path (wide enough for cars). Head north on this road until you reach a T junction. Turn right and head downhill. After a short bit, there is a small road forking to the right that will bring you back to the coast. For a little diversion onthe way back, you can skip in behind the Museum of Radio (worth a visit, even just for the view).
